We are seeking an experienced Automotive Shop Foreman to lead our service department specializing in the installation of aftermarket suspension components and truck accessories. This position requires a hands-on approach, where you will actively participate in installation and repair work, as well as overseeing the operations of the shop. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with aftermarket automotive parts, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering top-tier service to our customers.
Duties:
- Lead by example: Actively participate in the installation of aftermarket suspension components and truck accessories, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to manufacturer specifications.
- Manage and supervise: Lead a team of technicians, providing hands-on support and guidance for installations and repairs.
- Schedule and assign work orders: Effectively assign tasks to the team, ensuring that all installations and repairs are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitor technician performance: Provide feedback and guidance to improve technician skills and ensure consistent, high-quality results.
- Maintain accurate records: Keep detailed records of all installations, repairs, and customer interactions, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
- Ensure safety and compliance: Enforce safety procedures and ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
- Customer satisfaction: Focus on improving customer satisfaction by delivering excellent service, addressing concerns, and ensuring the highest quality of work.
- Collaborate with sales: Work closely with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling aftermarket products and services to customers.
- Stay up-to-date: Keep current with industry trends, new aftermarket products, and the latest installation techniques.
Experience:
- Required: Strong background in automotive repair and aftermarket installations, specifically suspension components and truck accessories.
- Leadership experience: Proven track record of successfully managing a team in a fast-paced automotive service environment.
- Technical expertise: In-depth knowledge of suspension systems, lift kits, leveling kits, truck accessories (e.g., bumpers, lighting, bed covers), and related aftermarket products.
- Software proficiency: Familiarity with auto estimating and service management software is preferred.
- Communication skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Multitasking: Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a busy shop environment.
