What are the responsibilities and job description for the Player Development Coach & Mentor position at Total Package Hockey?
TPH Academy is looking for a Player Development Coach and Mentor to join the team in Denver.
Player Development Coaches & Mentors do exactly what their job titles state: coach athletes directly, in areas related to their sport, and mentor them on “the process” of reaching their potential, in sport, school and most importantly, life. These individuals multi-task and often work hand-in-hand with the actual Director in areas such as business, operations, admin and enhancing the overall student-athlete experience. Player Development Coaches & Mentors often specialize in components of athletic instruction and deliver the actual training to the student-athletes. They are 100% athlete-focused, wear multiple hats, and have an opportunity to grow to become Heads of their actual sport, or Directors themselves. This position also comes with a strong focus on providing input in developing a strategic plan to drive student-athlete interest in the Academy model and building a database of prospective student-athletes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 years of amateur, junior, collegiate and/or professional hockey instructional or coaching experience, ie. it should be clear on your resume and/or cover letter that you have previously instructed youth players on the game of hockey.
- Keen interest in recruiting and building relationships with potential student-athlete families.
- Authorization to work in the United States without restrictions.
The following qualifications are considered assets when applying for this position:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Past business operations/organizational experience, hockey-related preferred
Base salary will range between $40-$45k based on experience. This position comes with full benefits.
