Position Description/Summary:
- Scrubs and submits electronic insurance claims daily and paper insurance claims weekly
- Audits claims submitted with Clearinghouse/Payors
- Accurately posts patient and insurance payments in EMR and internal accounting systems
- Creates sales deposits for deposit to the bank
- Reviews/Audits daily transaction reports for accuracy of payments posted and communicates to Finance Manager for payroll purposes
- Runs weekly/monthly reports pertaining to unbilled claims, missing charges and disputed charges
- Follows up on open insurance claims and claim denials as well as outstanding patient balances
- Assists patients with statement/account issues
- Creates and improves systems for new or changing workflows during company growth phases
- Completes Inventory orders and processes purchase order requests
- Assist Finance Manager with preparation of end-of-pay period data including but not limited to review of internal tracking systems
- Processes accounts payable within QuickBooks as assigned by Finance Manager
- Knowledge of GAAP, payroll processing, timecard reviews
- Assists in administrative support duties including but not limited to performing general office tasks, such as answering phones, filing documents, scanning, faxing and handling mail.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR POSITION
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of experience in a medical office setting.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
- Experience with EMR systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, OneDrive etc.)
- Experience with QuickBooks

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
