The Business Development Manager (BDM) will serve as the primary driver of sales growth and new customer opportunities. The BDM will spend the majority of their time visiting customers and prospects in the field, with moderate time in the office to collaborate with the team. What are the key role responsibilities?
- Conduct daily calls and face-to-face meetings with customers and prospects
- Ability and willingness to travel for trade shows, product demonstrations, and customer meetings
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers
- Generate sales growth through new and existing customer opportunities and applications
- Calculate customer pricing from material and fabrication costs based on customer specifications
- Monitor the industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand a customer’s specific needs
- Enter all call notes, quotes, and orders into the operating system (Epicor) with support from the Inside Sales Team
