GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
This position is responsible for overseeing and training other employees, ensuring new and existing team members learn essential landscaping skills. The role requires maintaining performance within budget while meeting the company’s safety and quality standards.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, squatting, kneeling, and sitting
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Safely operate commercial mowing equipment
Apply industry standards for safe mowing practices
Train crew members in multiple landscaping skills
Communicate effectively with customers
Plant flowers, lay mulch and river rock as needed (Grounds)
Operate string trimmers and other power tools safely
Safely drive a pickup truck with trailer
Trim shrubs and ornamental trees per industry standards (Grounds)
Work in all weather conditions
Arrive on time and stay until all tasks are complete
Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
General knowledge of commercial lawn services
Strong written and oral communication skills
Valid Michigan driver’s license with chauffeur’s license endorsement
