What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cable Assembler I position at Total Quality Assembly?
Primary Responsibilities
- Use of hand tools / cutters: Prepping cable ends
- Use of hand tools / electric screwdriver: Assembling of cable components
- Ability to work from detailed instructions / blueprints and conform to strict quality
assurance guidelines - Ability to work on various machines like crimping and labeling equipment.
- Other duties as assigned
Technical Knowledge/Skills Required
- Must be able to function well in a team or group environment
- Must be able to communicate well.
- Must be able to read and understand assembly drawings/bill of materials, written work
instructions and distinguish colors in multi conductor cables - Must be able to lift up to 40-50 lbs
- Could be sitting or standing for long periods of time.
- Could be doing the same work task for a longer period of time.
- Minimum one-year related work experience in an industrial environment
- Good attendance, attitude and work ethic
- Crimping of cables a plus.
- Reports to:
- Shop Supervisor
- TQA General Manager
