What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supermarket Rack Technician position at Total Refrigeration?
As a Supermarket Rack Technician, you will be a vital part of our team responsible for maintaining and repairing supermarket racks to ensure a safe and organized shopping environment for our customers. With core skills in schematics interpretation, EPA certification, and HVAC knowledge, you will troubleshoot and repair rack systems efficiently.

Responsibilities:
- Service commercial/supermarket refrigeration equipment and systems to include walk-in coolers, freezers, small self-contained equipment, reach-ins, Rack Units, etc.
- Experience servicing medium and low- temp refrigeration equipment.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance as needed and, or assigned to ensure the ongoing functioning of Refrigeration systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment with minimal supervision.
- Work and drive safely, using appropriate safety gear and techniques.
- Ability to service clients in a 24/7 environment with on-call responsibilities.
- Experience working with 507,404A,448, 449, CO2 refrigerants.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Experience servicing/installing rack systems.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines when working with refrigerants.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
Requirments:
- Possess a valid Driver's License for transportation to various job sites.
- Valid Texas Drivers License including a clean driving record.
- Able to report to work on time.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Willing to complete a pre-employment drug screening test and criminal background.
