What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vending/VMI Tech Support Manager position at Total Safety?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisor Responsibilities (25%)
- Implement policies and support action plans made by SSAMS Operations Manager.
- Assign and coordinate work for SSAMS Support and SSAMS Technician staff.
- Audit and approve time cards.
- Assist with employee on-boarding process.
- Prepare monthly and ad-hoc metric reporting for SSAMS Operations Manager.
Operations/Support (50%)
- Work directly with internal/external customers to support vending service requests.
- Assist with vending order generation.
- Log and track incidents in the ticketing system.
- Work with the SSAMS Technician Staff to process adds, changes, and removal of items in vending machines.
- Create reports for internal/external customers
- Assist with project scheduling
- Provide basic support (e.g. fix jams, change coils, etc.) for SSAMS vending operations.
Project Support (25%)
- Participate in project meetings and lead projects related to vending machine solutions
- Update project schedules
- Ensure appropriate staffing is available for projects
Job Requirements
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related fields preferred
- Minimum 2 years supervisory or management experience in a Technical Support role
- Proficient computer skills (e.g. MS Excel, Word processing, Data Entry)
- Hands-on experience in Technical Support.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to travel to remote locations.
- Ability to be in weekly on-call rotation.
- Ability to perform vending repairs and adjustments.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Ability to adapt to change in the workplace.
- Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals.
- Ability to develop a particular skill in others to bring them up to a predetermined standard of work performance.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations.
Other Physical Requirements
- Occasionally loading and unloading merchandise.
- Occasionally installing vending machines
Work Environment:
- 20% Industrial area with heavy equipment and moving forklifts.
- 80% Office Setting
Other: (Includes licenses, certificates, age, etc.)
- Clean driving record, Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid TWIC card.
- Ability to pass OSHA safety requirements.
- Ability to pass site specific safety training and drug testing requirements.
