Summary:
The Epicor ERP Resource Scheduler is an integral member of a dynamic team tasked with developing and managing the ERP system schedule for a manufacturing and fabrication shop that operates with a sense of urgency. This strategic role is responsible for working collaboratively with all functions of the organization to ensure that all systems, schedules, and resources are efficiently managed in order to produce the highest quality product, exceed or meet the customer's expectations, and adhere to an on-time delivery schedule. This position requires an individual who is a proactive thinker, can adapt to sudden and dramatic customer or inventory changes, and utilizes forecasting tools. A high level of precise communication so that all departments know operational needs pertinent to the overall production schedule is also required.
Primary Responsibilities:
Plan and prepare production schedules for the manufacture of products, including preparation of the master schedule, to establish a sequence and lead time for each operation, meeting customer required dates utilizing the Epicor ERP system.
Track and update progress of manufacturing operations (multiple times a day), including updating the scheduling software with progress, changes, and other pertinent data.
Responsible for transferring manufacturing plans into the Epicor ERP system and the manufacturing scheduling software.
Review and release production jobs to ensure accuracy and efficiency within the ERP system.
Communicate systematic problems, sudden spikes, or other abnormal volumes to operations staff as a proactive measure to allow time for necessary adjustments.
Work with the Production management team if overtime is needed.
Understand industrial large CNC machining processes and planning principles.
Log and addresses recurring issues and determines appropriate resolution as a continuous improvement initiative.
Analyze Production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred in IT, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Management or other related field.
5 years of Epicor Scheduling/Planning experience or similar experience with multiple ERP systems.
Strong oral, written, and technical communication skills.
Must be self-directed and able to deliver under pressure, meeting customer and management deadlines.
Must be highly motivated and be comfortable operating independently as well as within a team environment.
Must have high levels of attention to detail, be able to multitask, and stay organized.
Must demonstrate the ability to act professionally.
Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods throughout the shift.
Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office/warehouse to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Epicor certification(s) preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods and operate computer-based systems and equipment without constraint.
Work Environment:
This position primarily works in an office environment and will occasionally conduct work in the manufacturing areas.
