The Company is looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our growing business as a Logistics Agent. The ideal candidate has excellent technical and organizational skills, along with the ability to multi-task in a high-paced customer-facing role. Three or more years of experience in a logistics role a plus, but not a requirement for the right candidate.
Job Duties / Logistics Qualifications / Skills
- Interface directly with suppliers, customers, third-party transportation companies and personnel to schedule inbound and outbound material loads
- Organize and maintain records and reports related to shipping and receiving, customer service logs and safety records to help track performance data
- Safely and efficiently perform assigned processes to meet the required daily logistics activities.
- Ensure that specific customer requirements are met including generating special internal reports and facilitating customized transportation needs
- Work with the Logistics Manager to resolve customer concerns relating to transportation and other logistical issues.
- Assist with tracking of trailer assets on a real-time basis
- Perform Data Entry
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, most importantly Outlook and Excel
- Able to work independently and within a team
- The position's goals, objectives and duties will likely evolve as the business expands
