Description :
The Materials Team Lead will report to the Materials Supervisor and will be required to provide daily direct leadership and support to all shipping, receiving and material handling personnel. This individual will be expected to participate in the supervised activities where necessary to help expedite on-time completion of projects. The purpose of this position is to assist the Materials Supervisor by being directly involved in overseeing all phases of the material handling supervised activities. This position, in accordance with our Core Principles, requires genuine integrity in all aspects of fulfilling its duties :
Key Objectives to ensure success :
- The Team Lead will assist in assigning available manpower to efficiently meet processes, work flow and completion schedules of projects.
- Monitor progress of each team member to ensure they are completing their scope accurately.
- Maintain a sense of urgency to keep projects moving forward. It is extremely important that you know what takes priority.
- Do not assume something is being taken care of - confirm it!!
- One of your primary functions will be "supervising by walking around" on the campus at all times. You will be available to fill gaps and ensure task keep moving forward, and even training when necessary.
It is critical that you remain pro-active in your role.
