Job description
We are looking to fill a Senior Systems/Network Engineer position for our IT Consulting firm. We are an MSP who supports several businesses here in the Treasure Valley. Our company has been operating and servicing clients since 2006. We are strong and steadily growing. Looking to expand our staff due to higher customer needs. The position wage is DOE (competitive market wage) w/ full benefits. A vehicle, cell phone, tools, and other items such as iPad, Laptop, Etc. needed to perform job will be provided.
Applicant must be a self-managed individual to service high level engineering needs.
Standard Desktop Support, Field Service/ Install. Some cabling needs. Windows Server Support 20XX, Exchange, Azure, Virtual Environments, Cloud Service, Office 365, Apple Products, Windows 10, Windows 11. etc.
Work Duties may vary however will include day to day on the following items:
- Standard system installations, updates and management
- System Administration & Maintenance
- Server support and deployment in production environments
- Format, install, set up, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop and laptop computers with and for end users.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve problems.(Warranty work, etc.)
- Add or replace system hardware, keyboards, motherboards, ram and other components on both workstations and servers.
- Set up and troubleshoot domains, user accounts and software accounts. O365, GMAIL, etc.
- Configure, test, and troubleshoot network connectivity and wireless access for local and remote computers or devices. (Will support Wireless, Wired, and other network connectivity as needed)
- Firewall/router setup and deployment as well as troubleshooting (Cisco, SonicWall, Fortinet, Meraki, etc.)
- VPN connectivity setup
- Utilize standard ticketing system to track your tickets.
- Utilizing a Remote Management System to remotely connect to clients computers to perform maintenance or remote support
- Backup Services- Servers on-prem and in cloud Security & Disaster Recovery
- Business Continuity planning and deployment
Knowledge in Windows Server 20XX, Exchange, SharePoint, Terminal Server (will touch all of these items at one point during service and support) is a requirement of the position.
