Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently.
Job Purpose: Dispatch Clerk responsible for scheduling transportation, tracking shipments, ensuring materials are sent and received in good condition, and maintaining accurate records.
Schedule: M-F 4pm-12:30am.
- Prepare, process and maintain documentation related to domestic shipments, including coordinating the pick-up and delivery of cargo to and from customers.
- Assist the Total Transportation & Distribution Dispatchers in various areas incidental to dispatch.
- Update dispatch systems as required.
- Provide knowledgeable answers to questions concerning ETA’s, deliveries, pick-ups, etc.
- Call customers, shippers or third parties to request additional time if needed.
- Process Inside Deliveries.
- Check-in drivers’ paperwork against what is assigned in CLI to ensure drivers are not missing any PODs or BOLs.
- Convert pick ups to deliveries in CLI while ensuring all information from BOLs is transferred over to the order in CLI.
- Scan PODs into indexing system.
- Label and scan BOLs into indexing system
- Process missing BOL and missing POD reports at end of the night to ensure no documents are missing.
- Special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1 years of related experience in dispatching and transportation preferred
- Able to competently perform job duties described above
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize projects and deliverables, and interact effectively with cross-functional teams
- Good quantitative and analytical thinking skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook: Basic level of skill
- Proficiency with use of operations management software including reporting functions.
- Work as part of a team and help execute both departmental and company goals.
- Follow company and departmental directives regarding policies and procedures.
Experience/Training/Education:
Required: High school graduate or equivalent, plus minimum of 1 year of Dispatch experience.
Pay: This position is fully onsite at our Rancho Cucamonga, CA location and has a pay range of $21.00-$22.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
