Role Overview:
The Valve and Automation Quotation Specialist will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive quotations for valve and automation products and systems. This role requires a deep understanding of valve and automation technologies, the ability to work closely with engineers, and the ability to liaise with clients to meet their specific needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quotation Preparation: Generate accurate and timely quotations for valves, actuators, control systems, and automation products based on customer requirements and technical specifications.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate directly with clients to gather project details, discuss requirements, and provide technical support.
- Product Selection: Recommend the most suitable valve and automation solutions, ensuring compatibility with client specifications and industry standards.
- Coordination: Work closely with the engineering and procurement teams to ensure proper product selection and availability.
- Costing and Pricing: Analyze cost structures and apply pricing strategies to create competitive yet profitable quotations.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare technical submittals, datasheets, and other related documentation for clients as required.
- Vendor Liaison: Work with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain pricing, lead times, and product details.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest valve and automation technologies, industry trends, and market conditions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in valve and automation quotation, sales support, or technical roles within industrial sectors.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of valve types, actuators, control systems, automation products, and industry standards.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word), experience with quotation software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to handle complex technical specifications with high accuracy.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assist with customized solutions.
- Auto Cad would be a plus.
