Job Summary : As a Business Operations Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency and strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for generating, analyzing, and interpreting performance reports across all departments to support forecasting, accountability, and process improvements. This role requires exercising significant independent judgment and discretion in evaluating processes, recommending improvements, and influencing strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Create, distribute, and maintain detailed performance reports for various departments (operations, inventory, service, parts, IT, etc.), applying independent judgment to determine data relevance and reporting priorities.
- Present periodic reports to executives, summarizing departmental performance and making actionable recommendations to support decision-making for Executive Management.
- Report and publish KPIs, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) at regular intervals, exercising discretion in identifying key metrics to improve business outcomes.
- Design and develop complex VBA macros to automate recurring tasks and reports, using independent problem-solving to optimize processes.
- Create dynamic dashboards, charts, and reports using VBA, Excel, and other tools, selecting the appropriate methodologies to meet business needs.
- Automate data collection, cleansing, and analysis processes, exercising discretion to enhance reporting accuracy and streamline workflows.
- Debug, optimize, and maintain existing macros to improve performance and reliability, identifying and addressing complex technical issues independently.
- Prepare and review internal / external statements of work (SOWs) for the procurement of goods and services, leveraging sound judgment to align with business objectives.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, providing insights and recommendations for process enhancements.
- Collaborate with department managers to evaluate current processes and workflows, understand operational challenges, and recommend actionable solutions.
- Develop business-case justifications and cost-benefit analyses for new initiatives and purchases, ensuring recommendations align with strategic priorities.
- Monitor inventory levels, operational efficiency, and service performance metrics, applying judgment to identify opportunities for optimization.
- Assist department managers in interpreting performance data and implementing operational improvements based on data-driven insights.
- Support leadership in tracking project progress and holding team members accountable for deliverables, exercising discretion to address deviations and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide actionable data insights to support accurate forecasting efforts and strategic planning.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency by managing and auditing data systems, addressing inconsistencies using independent problem-solving skills.
- Provide training and support to team members on performance tools and reporting processes, tailoring guidance based on individual needs and business goals.
- Stay informed on changing business needs, emerging technologies, and industry trends, offering insights and recommendations for operational enhancements and expansion opportunities.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis and reporting as requested by leadership, determining appropriate methodologies to address complex questions.
