Job Title: Stand-Up Forklift Operator
Pay : $16.00/hr
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Stand-Up Forklift Operator to join our team. The operator will be responsible for safely moving pallets from picking endcaps to the appropriate shipping lanes. This role requires excellent forklift operating skills, attention to detail, and a strong focus on safety. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with stand-up forklifts and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a stand-up forklift to transport pallets from picking endcaps to designated shipping lanes.
- Ensure that all items are moved and stored in the correct locations based on shipping priorities.
- Perform daily safety checks on the forklift and report any malfunctions or issues.
- Work closely with warehouse teams to ensure the timely movement of products and shipments.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and equipment handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist in other warehouse duties as required by management, including restocking and supporting order picking when needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating a stand-up forklift in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a team-oriented approach.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing more than 50 lbs.
- Forklift certification required (or the ability to obtain certification within the first two weeks of employment).
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays when necessary.
