What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Infrastructure Lead position at Total Warranty Services?
We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Lead to join our team and oversee all aspects of IT infrastructure operations, including server and network infrastructure, as well as provide support for IT-related requests. The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft server and client operating systems, O365, Microsoft PowerShell, Active Directory Group Policy, network routing and switching, and firewalls. Familiarity with IT operations workflows and ticketing systems is preferred. This role is required to be in office Monday- Friday.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
IT Infrastructure Management:
- Take ownership of the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's server and network infrastructure.
- Ensure the availability, performance, and security of the IT infrastructure, including servers, network devices, and data centers.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, capacity, and availability through proactive measures and continuous improvement.
- Manage system backups, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity processes.
IT Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide technical assistance and support for IT related issues, including hardware and software problems, network connectivity and system failures.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems efficiently and effectively.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify and resolve infrastructure-related issues, minimizing business disruption.
- Develop and maintain IT support documentation, including knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures.
Microsoft Technologies Expertise:
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft server and client operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Utilize Microsoft PowerShell and Active Directory Group Policy to automate administrative tasks and manage system configurations.
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
Network Infrastructure Management:
- Manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN connectivity.
- Ensure proper network configuration, routing, and security protocols to maintain a stable and secure network environment.
- Collaborate with network vendors and service providers to troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues.
Project Management:
- Lead infrastructure-related projects, from planning and design to implementation and post project evaluation.
- Define project requirements, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are completed within established deadlines and meet quality standards.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect the organization's data and infrastructure.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, security threats, and regulatory requirements related to IT infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the IT team to develop and maintain an incident response plan and ensure timely response to security incidents.
