Job Overview
The Sales Associate / Team Leader plays a key role in driving sales, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of associates to achieve store goals. Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Experience
Create an outstanding buying experience by providing expert guidance and personalized recommendations to customers.
Develop and implement new sales strategies to increase revenue and close deals effectively.
Lead the sales floor alongside the Store Manager, ensuring all customers receive professional, friendly, and timely assistance.
Assist customers with inquiries, purchases, activations, and troubleshooting of wireless devices and plans.
Leadership & Team Development
Serve as a role model for Sales Associates by demonstrating exceptional sales techniques and customer service.
Coach and train Sales Associates on product knowledge, sales strategies, and customer engagement.
Foster a team-oriented environment by promoting motivation, accountability, and a healthy level of competition.
Mediate disputes between sales associates and customers while maintaining professionalism and composure.
Store Operations & Compliance
Work closely with store management to oversee opening, closing, and daily store operations.
Ensure accurate cash handling, deposits, and adherence to operational control standards.
Process transactions efficiently using RQ4, following company policies and procedures.
Maintain proper inventory management, including daily counts of phones and accessories.
Ensure the store layout aligns with Total Wireless merchandising standards and planograms.
Sales Strategy & Marketing
Develop and implement sales strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
Organize and execute marketing plans to meet sales targets set by Total Wireless.
Stay updated on Total Wireless promotions, plans, and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
Accountability & Performance Management
Supervise Sales Associates and oversee customer transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies.
Monitor product returns and exchanges, verifying product condition and compliance with return policies.
Reward top-performing employees in alignment with company policies to boost motivation and performance.
Provide constructive feedback and corrective actions for underperforming team members when necessary.
Other Duties
Support store management in various tasks, duties, or special projects as assigned.
Ensure store cleanliness, organization, and a welcoming shopping environment.
Qualifications & Skills Required
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required; higher education is a plus.
At least six months of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
