Position is for junior level, electrical engineer to join the reliability team and help ensure the optimal performance and availability of electrical systems and equipment.
Will work closely with senior engineers, maintenance technicians, and operators to troubleshoot, repair, and improve the electrical and instrumentation components of the site's petrochemical plant processes.
Incumbent would assist in the implementation and execution of the reliability management program for the electrical equipment and installation, such as HT/LT electric motors, transformers, switch gears, generators, etc.
Position monitors and analyzes the condition and performance of the electrical systems and equipment using predictive and preventive maintenance techniques, such as vibration analysis, thermography, motor testing, etc.
Works collaboratively with personnel to resolve daily and chronic reliability and maintenance issues requiring high-level expertise
Activités
Identify and recommend solutions to electrical reliability issues and opportunities for improvement
Coordinate safety instrumented system (SIS) testing, ensuring that the SIS meets the required safety integrity level (SIL) and complies with the relevant standards and regulations
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or failures related to the SIS, such as sensors, logic solvers, and final control elements
Work collaboratively with other disciplines, such as process, mechanical, and instrumentation, to ensure the SIS is integrated and aligned with the overall plant design and operation
Support the design and installation of new and modified electrical systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes
Maintain and update the documentation and records of the electrical systems and equipment, such as drawings, specifications, manuals, etc.
Coordinate root cause failure analysis on significant instrument equipment failures
Install, calibrate, maintain, inspect and repair mechanical and electronic devices and equipment used for instrumentation and control
Profil du candidat
Requires bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
1-2 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the petrochemical or related industry
Knowledge of electrical systems and equipment, such as motors, transformers, switch gears, generators, etc.
Knowledge of reliability and maintenance processes and techniques, such as commissioning, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, etc.
Knowledge of electrical codes and standards, such as NEC, IEEE, NFPA, etc.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with different stakeholders
Ability to use computer software and tools, such as MS Office, AutoCAD, SAP, etc.
