About this Position:
TJFACT and partner DPS are seeking a well-qualified Instructor Trainer to support the Medical Education and Training Campus (METC) Faculty, Staff and Student Development (FSSD) onsite at government facilities on Joint Base San Antonio–Fort Sam, and Houston, TX, providing education and training services.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide instructor trainer services to faculty and staff regarding the attainment of higher formal education degrees and certifications. Give guidance in a non-supervisory capacity to METC staff regarding the delivery of instruction. Address issues that arise with instructional competencies and evaluation.
- Serve as SME for instructional strategies and techniques related to learning programs. Consult with the FSSD supervisor on all matters relating to instructional delivery services to METC faculty and staff. This shall include all aspects of the METC instructional delivery processes to include the organization, administration, review, development, analysis and general effectiveness of the program.
- Assure that accurate information is disseminated utilizing sound educational techniques.
- Develop and use follow-up surveys to evaluate work performance.
- Develop educational procedures and standards and establish performance requirements to be used by FSSD to evaluate instructors’ preparation in the use of proper instructional delivery strategies and techniques.
- Provide guidance and assistance to all instructors in the development of new and innovative approaches to instruction to facilitate student learning. Ensure that the technical information provided is disseminated, current and accurate.
- Give advice, counsel, and instruction to instructors to improve quality of instruction delivered to students
- Develop and evaluate curriculum. Develop and revise courses to develop new concepts and technology in curriculum delivery.
- Maintain manpower and logistical requirements needed to maintain an adequate training environment, meeting military and accreditation guidelines. Evaluate the attrition rate of METC students and recommend corrective action.
- Study, analyze and develop methods to improve student outcomes and training problems to include the use of technology. Screen prerequisites for component services to ensure the proper level of academic preparation for the incoming students.
- Initiate and provide consultation in the design and development of programs focused on properly delivering instruction based on approved critical objectives.
- Develop the performance standards for instructional delivery programs by establishing program goals and standards, which are annually reported to the IDD Associate Dean, with evaluations and recommended solutions to any identified trends and deficiencies.
- Monitor the latest techniques and strategies related to instructional delivery to include the use of technology. Stay abreast of innovations in educational technology, concepts, techniques, and equipment as applied to military service school, civilian educational and industrial communities; by reading literature, attending graduate, postgraduate courses, seminars and educational institutions.
- Review and evaluate component service policies and procedures in relation to instruction and training to develop curriculum that improves student learning.
- Provide training programs to the teaching staff, regarding instructional strategies and techniques.
- Serve as a consultant on training literature and develop the requirements and programs for training staff on the use of appropriate instructional techniques, strategies and procedures.
- Plan and schedule student and staff briefings. Plan and schedule briefings for staff related to instructional delivery at the METC. Document the effectiveness of briefings through communication, feedback, and surveys.
Required Qualifications:
- US Citizen
- One of the following:
- A bachelor’s degree in education, business, or a related field with 5 years of applicable work experience,
- Associate degree 7 years of applicable work experience
- High School diploma 9 years of applicable work experience
