About the Position:
TJFACT is seeking a well-qualified HR Administrative Support Specialist to support the Department of Justice (DOJ) in Washington, DC.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with senior HR specialists to review and evaluate new, revised, or proposed HR policy directives and/or guidelines for impact on the Department’s HR practices. Make recommendations for and assist in the development of new directives and guides (including those communicated via the DOJ Human Resources web site).
- Support the Director and Deputy Director, HR, in reviewing and/or preparing executive correspondence.
- Provide a clear process for vetting HR policies throughout the Department (this may include internal written procedures, information training sessions and/or meetings with senior staff members).
- Coordinate comments on revised directives as part of the review process and incorporate comments or resolve issues into final directive.
- Receive, assign, and monitor externally and internally generated correspondence and inquiries. Follow up ensure observance of deadlines and coordination of internal comments and clearance.
- Stay current on DOJ correspondence and directives guidance; may provide informal training to DOJ Human Resources Staff (or issue internal written procedures/prepare templates.
- Monitor and track the progress and status of reports, notes, memoranda, data, etc., to ensure their satisfactory conclusion or action. The contractor may, on occasion, prepare correspondence for managers, including their communication to principals within JMD or DOJ.
- Will review Executive Core Qualifications (ECQ) narrative statements for the Senior Executive Service (SES) necessary to ensure certification by the Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM’s) Qualification Review Board (QRB)

Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience related to human resources management.
- Experience with computer technology, equipment, and software used in an office environment.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and other programs operating on a Microsoft Office platform.
- Knowledge of federal human resources policy and procedures
- Verifiable ability to communicate orally and in writing and to implement instructions.
