About the Position:
TJFACT is seeking a Project Management Professional/Project Planner Analyst to support our DOS DT (Diplomatic Technology) IT team in Baghdad and Erbil, Iraq.
The Information Technology (IT) Project Planner/Analyst is responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, financial control and monitoring, and project control of IT specific projects for Embassy Baghdad, constituent posts in Erbil, and BDSC (Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center). This position directly supports the Mission DT Chief (Information Management Officer) and is a key advisor to and must be able to work with the DT - Chief, all DT (Information Resource Management) section heads and OBO (Overseas Building Operations) project managers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages the coordination of administrative, project management, and operational programs for all IT specific projects.
- Builds and manages Microsoft Project schedules and project interdependencies for IT specific projects unique to each site, section, and office.
- Liaises with other internal and external COM (Chief of Mission) and DOD (Department of Defense) constituencies in the resolution of a variety of day-to-day and long-term matters concerning DT.
- Assists in problem solving and execution of stated program goals and objectives.
- Recommends procedures in the organization to establish controls for all personnel/manpower operations; research technical information; complies contract work statistics; prepares reports and replies to DT inquiries, and independently identifies project conflicts to the Mission DT Chief.
- Assists with program and budget control planning, including participating in market research for alternate sources of vendor support and services; coordinates organizational internal controls efforts in all fiscal and financial accountability issues.
- Prepares and/or overseas the preparation of charts, graphs and reports depicting current strength, schedules, and/or other information relevant to specific projects.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of bachelor's degree in information technology (IT), management, business, or 5 years’ experience in related fields
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Project Management
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL v3) Foundation certified or equivalent.
- Comprehensive knowledge and use of Microsoft Office software products (Required)
- Microsoft Project software (Required)
- Ability to provide clear directions on work products and projects
- Ability to develop, maintain and discuss budgets
- Ability to develop risk assessments with project impact analysis
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the Mission.
- Active security clearance.
