About the Position :
TJFACT is seeking a Radio Technician to support our DOS DT (Diplomatic Technology) IT team in Baghdad and Erbil, Iraq.
The Radio Technician provides expert-level support for all Department of State-owned radio communications equipment. Specific responsibilities vary, but in general, are responsible for maintaining all aspects of an enterprise radio network including base stations, repeaters, cabling, duplexers and antennas, ensuring that mission-critical resources are always available when needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Responsible for providing radio frequency and land mobile radio support for Motorola, Codan, and Kenwood radio systems.
- Maintain, monitor, troubleshoot, repair, and install radio equipment including repeaters, tuners, antennas, base stations, vehicle radios, handheld radios, and all ancillary equipment required for a radio network.
- Install infrastructure required for connecting antennas, on towers, rooftops, and vehicles, to the transmitting unit, as well as any other
- Responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining UHF / VHF / HF radio communications systems throughout Iraq. This includes (but is not limited to) :
Installing / maintaining base stations, repeaters, duplexers, and antennas.
