Job Description & Requirements
CANDIDATES MUST BE EXPERIENCED IN PRE/POST CATH LAB/EP PROCEDURES, PACU RECOVERY, CARDIAC SURGERY ADMISSIONS
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 36
Primary Location: Deaconess Gateway Hospital Newburgh, IN (GW CVSS)
Shift: 12hr Days 0630-1900 operational hours of department
Float Requirements: float to other cardiac units and may float between Midtown, Gateway, and Heart Hospital, but cross campus mid-shifting floating is rare.
On Call/Call Back Requirements: N/A
Weekends: None
Holidays: None
Required Certifications to be Attached upon Submittal: IN Single State RN License, AHA BLS & ACLS, NIHSS
Minimum Experience: 1 year of experience in specialty
NO NEW TRAVELERS - 1 completed travel assignment required
Charting Experience Required: EPIC/CUPID
Required Skillset: Start IVs, radial artery sheath removal, TR bands, arterial line management, manage/titrate cardiac drips, telemetry interpretation, 12-lead EKG.
Patient Population: Admissions/Cardiac procedure recovery, Pre/Post Cath Lab/EP Lab procedures, PACU recovery, cardiac surgery admissions, TAVR/LAAO recoveries.
Unit Information: 12 beds. Pre/Post procedure Cath Lab, Surgery admissions
3:1 patient ratio
Uniform info: Navy Blue
Covid-19 Vaccine Not Required -- Subject to change
GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed
