Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Travel CT Technologist to join our team at Magnet Medical in Stephenville, Texas. The ideal candidate will have experience operating computed tomography (CT) scanners and be responsible for obtaining high-quality images of patients' bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Preparation and Communication: Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining the procedure, answering any questions, and ensuring they are comfortable.
- Operation of CT Equipment: Operate and calibrate the CT scanner, ensuring proper settings for each scan, including parameters such as radiation dose, slice thickness, and imaging protocols.
- Image Quality and Review: Review the CT images for quality, ensuring that all required areas are captured and the images meet diagnostic standards.
- Patient Safety and Comfort: Follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, including using the lowest possible dose for effective imaging and utilizing shielding where appropriate.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with physicians, radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to determine the appropriate imaging procedures and assist in diagnosing medical conditions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences or related field.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in CT.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
