Travel Nurse Med Surg Job in Branson, MO
We are seeking a Medical Surgical RN for an immediate travel nurse position in Branson, Missouri.
About the Role
- Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
- Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
- Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
Responsibilities
- Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
- Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
- Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
- Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patient.
- Educate patients on surgical procedures.
- Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
Requirements
- 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
- Ability to easily lift 20 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS.
