Cleaner/Janitor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in both commercial and residential settings.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and sanitizing surfaces.
• Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Handle custodial duties such as trash removal, dusting, and window washing to uphold facility standards.
• Assist with floor care activities including buffing and polishing to maintain appearance.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure efficient operations and high cleanliness standards.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
• Familiarity with floor care processes including buffing and maintenance.
• Ability to perform residential painting tasks is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills to interact with staff and clients professionally.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 9 per week

Schedule:

• Every weekend
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Commercial cleaning: 1 year (Required)

Language:

• English (Required)
