Description
As a planning electrical engineer at Toth & Associates, you will work on all aspects of planning studies for electric utility systems, including: Construction Work Plans, Long Range Plans, System Studies, Solar Studies, Load Forecasting, Environmental Reports, Flicker Studies, and Protection Coordination Studies.
A qualified applicant must have good interpersonal skills as the job requires management of as well as meeting and working closely with clients.
Qualifications
- BSEE from an ABET-accredited engineering program is required
- 1 years of experience as a consulting engineer in electrical utility planning or 1 years of experience as a utility system engineer
- Familiarity with the NESC and RUS standards as they relate to distribution planning
- Solid working knowledge of electric utility concepts, such as power factor, load factor, per unit, coincident load
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budget and time constraints
- Proficiency with Milsoft (preferred), CYME, or Synergi
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (especially Excel)
- EIT certification or ability to obtain EIT within 6 months
- Proficiency in writing and providing support documentation for engineering calculations
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
Valued but not required skills and experience:
- PE license
- Experience with Distributed Generation
- Experience with Aspen OneLiner
- AutoCAD experience
- GIS Experience with ESRI, Futura, NISC, or WindMil Map
- Programming experience
Salary : $75,000 - $100,000
