Job Description:
As the After-Hours Service Technician, you will serve as the face of our company, responding to service calls and performing basic troubleshooting to keep our machines running smoothly. Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided, and additional phone support will be available for more complex technical issues.
General Summary of Job Duties
This position starts and ends each shift in from our Lafayette, LA warehouse. Since the role consists of approximately 90% driving/field time a company car will be provided for use during assigned shifts. This is a customer-facing position and requires friendly and professional customer service, cash handling, driving, and company vehicles. Happy, polite, honest, and detail-oriented people are encouraged to apply. While no particular experience is required, our ideal candidate will be familiar with basic technology and will not be intimidated or easily overwhelmed by technical troubleshooting tactics, using tools with dexterity, driving at night, or moving in and out of bar and restaurant spaces during evening and night hours alone.
Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintains a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guests, fellow employees, and vendors.
- Promotes a positive work atmosphere including support and assistance to all employees and management staff.
- Promotes operational consistency among all regional locations. Maintain an open line of communication with Management.
- Timely completion of maintenance and repairs of buildings, equipment and grounds (facilities & equipment) and on-route collection procedures.
- Responsible for all aspects of device repair, machine conversions, changing class, routine preventative maintenance, and EPROM replacement.
- Moves bases and machines as necessary among properties.
- Responsible for adhering to and keeping up with all gaming regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Must establish a thorough familiarity with all test equipment and support equipment (currency counters, kiosks, ATMs, site controllers, and other related equipment).
- Identifies inefficiencies and possible solutions to correct inefficiencies.
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Skills, Education, and Other Requirements
- Must have completed Tech 1 and/or Tech 2 Video Poker certification.
- Must be literate and fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of clients, customers, and the general public.
- Proficient use of Computer, phone, fax, copier, and 10-Key calculator, Basic PC skills, specifically Microsoft Office products.
- Frequent travel is required for this position.

Required Work Cards
- Identification that establishes identity and the right to work in the United States.
- Valid Louisiana Driver's License and acceptable driving history
- All Casino personnel including Slot Technicians/Supervisors, Operations Managers, and Casino Associates/Supervisors are required to possess a valid video draw poker employee permit. Tech. 2 permits are required for advanced-ranked Slot Technicians and Supervisors. Failure to maintain a valid Video Draw Poker permit or an identification card as mentioned above may result in suspension and up to termination of employment.
