We are a leading catalog and internet retailer specializing in offering stylish, quality products to help customers create “A Home Like No Other.” As an entry-level buyer, you will play a key role in sourcing, selecting, and managing a group of products. If you have a passion for interior design and home décor trends, this is an exciting opportunity in the home décor industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify emerging home décor trends and customer preferences
- Identify vendors and products that represent the look and value of the Touch of Class reputation
- Source new products and build vendor relationships
- Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed buying decisions
- Work with in-house teams to ensure products are well-represented in our catalog and online.
- Help maintain accurate and up to date product databases
- Assist in managing product listings, descriptions, and pricing
- Conduct competitor analysis of similar products within the market
- Track and report on product performance metrics
Essential skills:
- 1-2 years of buying experience
- Strong understanding of retail math calculations
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- Excellent analytical abilities
- Passion for home decorating and keen eye for design
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to learn new computer programs
- Must be able to travel multiple times per year
- A 2 year degree or equivalent experience is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
