What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floor Technician position at Touchette Regional Hospital?
Job Summary :
Responsible for the maintenance of all floor areas, and for sustaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
Functions and Duties :
- Maintain a neat and clean environment which is conducive to quality patient care and guest relations for Touchette Regional Hospital.
- have some exposure to Blood-borne Pathogens.
- Ability to make decisions independently.
- Participates in monthly department meetings, in-services and training programs.
- Supports hospital philosophy, mission objectives and personnel policies.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Strips and waxes all floors in accordance with master floor care plan.
- Shampoos and maintains all facility carpets and upholstery.
- Shampoo and spot clean upholstery as needed.
- All associates will learn and apply the principles of regular discharges with a 45 30-minute turnaround from start to finish.
- All associates will learn and apply the principles of terminal and OR cleaning with a 55 min turnaround from start to finish.

This position is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Employees in non-exempt positions are entitled to receive overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a workweek in accordance with state and federal regulations.
