Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor patients’ health by checking vital signs and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Provide direct support for individuals with dementia or memory care needs, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to each client's unique needs and preferences.
- Uphold resident rights by treating clients with dignity and respect while maintaining their privacy.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Administer first aid and CPR as needed in emergency situations.
- Assist with home community care tasks, including light housekeeping and errands as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of CPR, first aid, patient monitoring, and caregiving best practices is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques and memory care strategies is an asset.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Ability to follow care plans accurately while being attentive to the changing needs of clients.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others maintain their independence and dignity.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
