Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Implement care plans effectively, ensuring that all aspects of the client's needs are met.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health or behavior.
- Provide direct support to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities, fostering independence and skill development.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Uphold resident rights by respecting client privacy and dignity at all times.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care progress and any concerns.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
Experience
- Previous experience in long-term care or home community care is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and direct support services is a plus.
- Ability to create and follow care plans tailored to individual client needs.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or similar conditions is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
