Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring that residents' rights are respected at all times.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring any changes are communicated to nursing staff.
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medication management.
- Develop and follow individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of residents by maintaining a clean and organized living space.
- Respect resident rights and maintain confidentiality in all interactions.
- Provide specialized care for residents with conditions such as dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving, assisted living, or senior care is preferred.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and medication administration is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with care plans and resident rights is essential.
- CPR certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held is required.
- Compassionate demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with residents and their families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Physical capability to assist residents with mobility needs and perform light housekeeping tasks as needed.
