Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide patient observation to monitor changes in health or behavior and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Support individuals with memory care needs by engaging them in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function.
- Ensure the rights of residents are respected and upheld at all times.
- Work collaboratively with team members in a group home setting to create a supportive atmosphere for all clients.
- Assist clients with developmental disabilities by providing tailored support that fosters independence and dignity.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Document care provided and any changes in client condition accurately and timely.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in patient care or caregiving is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Ability to follow care plans and respect resident rights while providing support.
- Cooking skills are a plus for meal preparation tasks.
