Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing logistics operations and ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement of goods. You will play a key role in transportation management, inventory control, order processing, and supplier coordination. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and experience managing logistics processes in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transportation Optimization: Determine the most efficient and cost-effective transportation methods (trucks, ships, trains, etc.) and routes to ensure timely delivery while minimizing costs.
- Shipping Documentation: Prepare and manage all shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Order Verification: Verify orders before shipment to ensure correct products, quantities, and packaging are dispatched.
- Shipment Monitoring: Track shipments in transit, promptly address delays or issues, and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
- Inventory Management: Maintain optimal stock levels in warehouses to meet demand without incurring excess storage costs. Accurately record incoming and outgoing goods and update inventory in NetSuite.
- Order Processing: Receive and process incoming orders, ensuring accurate and efficient handling from receipt to shipment.
- Supplier Coordination: Communicate with suppliers to confirm production schedules, ensure timely delivery of raw materials, and resolve any supply chain disruptions.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, transportation providers, and customers to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues promptly.
- Logistics Analysis: Analyze logistics processes to identify opportunities for improvement in cost, time, and efficiency, and implement best practices where necessary.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all logistics activities adhere to transportation regulations, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on logistics performance, inventory levels, shipping metrics, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Chargeback Management: Process and dispute retail chargebacks in accordance with company procedures.
- System Integration: Ensure seamless order processing and communication between systems, including NetSuite and EDI, to maintain data accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of transportation methods, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
- Ability to learn key planning systems including NetSuite and EDI for order processing and inventory management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations, safety protocols, and industry standards.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Knowledge of international shipping and customs regulations.
- Familiarity with chargeback processes and retail dispute resolution.
Salary:
$75,000 - $85,000 per year, Eligible for 10% annual performance bonus
