What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health and Fitness Director position at Touchmark?
We are currently seeking the right person to join our executive management team as our Health and Fitness Club Director. The Touchmark Health and Fitness Club is open to public membership aged 50 and older, as well as all Touchmark residents and team members. It features a full length warm water pool, weight machines, cardio equipment, aerobic studio, locker rooms, in-house PT, and massage therapy.
The Health and Fitness Club Director, will oversee the team members who work in our health and fitness club to ensure that they are providing quality health and fitness opportunities for our members along with conducting classes and providing personal training sessions to residents. The director will also ensure that we are our growing our personal training hours; offering modern fitness classes; recruiting new members; as well as growing our team member participation in health and fitness opportunities. · Current certification through a nationally accredited organization (such as ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE)
· A four-year college degree in an exercise science-related discipline
· A genuine interest in working with adults (age 50 ) to help them achieve their physical fitness goals
· A positive, upbeat, and energetic approach to health, wellness, teamwork, and hospitality
Experience working with aging adults and/or special fitness populations; experience in a retirement community setting is a plus.
