Position: Quality Technician
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Mentor technicians on quality standards.
- Drive in-process quality communication to ensure technicians are aware of the quality level; ensure quality and safety standards are upheld.
- Perform postproduction audits to ensure quality standards are met.
- Respond to procedural problems or technical questions from personnel with respect to quality or other requirements.
- Provide updates to the Business Leader Operations for both the status of production lines and issues.
- Provide feedback to management regarding quality outputs from technicians. Support/lead investigations as needed for issues impacting product quality or output.
- Comply with all ISO 9001:2015, 5S, and other applicable standards.
- Ensure department is compliant with all ISO 9001:2015, 5S, and other applicable standards through updating work instructions and maintaining work areas.
- Provide support to other departments and perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; associated degree preferred.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing desired.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to display confidence and positivity.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to provide motivation to teammates and inspiration through work ethic, knowledge base, leadership, and commitment.
- Ability to provide unbiased opinions during a decision, including weighing advantages and disadvantages of outcomes of possible choices.
- Demonstrated integrity and commitment to behaving ethically and morally, showing consistency in actions, values, principles, and expectations in alignment with the organization's vision, mission, values, and pillars.
Environmental and Physical Requirements:
- Regular standing, sitting, use of hands/fingers to perform daily assigned work tasks, and verbal communication.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
- Infrequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds; lifting and/or moving weights more than 100 pounds with the use of a pallet jack.
- Strong visual abilities required for close proximity viewing, color identification, depth perception, and ability to adjust microscope focus.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise level.
