Job Summary:
As the Director of Environmental Services, you will lead day to day operations of the environmental services (EVS)/housekeeping department at a hospital. You will manage the department within the established objectives, standards, policies and procedures in accordance with federal, state and local regulations. You will be financially accountable for the operation of the EVS department, ensuring it remains within the approved budget, while simultaneously providing the Client with the maximum value spent. The director is encouraged to champion strong interdepartmental relations and integrate department with the facility plan of operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for department’s financial data and statistics
- Lead, train, develop, and manage a team of frontline associates
- Monitoring of unit expenditures
- Develop and recommend department operating budget and ensure the department operates within budget
- Coordinate environmental services activities with other departments
- Actively communicate with administration and other hospital departments
- Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and supervise functions and activities of the department
- Establish and implement policies and procedures for departmental operations
- Two or more years of environmental services assistant director or director level experience at a hospital account required
- Bachelors degree or EVS management equivalent experience preferred
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial and other data
- Good business sense with the a bility to thrive under pressure and meet established goals and objectives
- Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to build client and employee relationships
- Experience with Federal & State healthcare surveys
- T-CHEST and/or T-CNACC certifications are a plus
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
