Job Summary
As a Retail Dining Manager, you will be responsible for supporting providing bench support for Ascension hospitals in the metro Detroit area. You will support Henry Ford hospitals: St. John, Macomb-Oakland, Providence Southfield, Rochester, and Providence Novi. This role will provide support of the retail cafe, coffee shop, and/or catering operations of an assigned hospital based on the business needs of a given location. You will adhere to the client’s culture and guidelines, the Health Departments regulations, and company’s standards & policies. This position also motivates, trains, develops, and directs hourly/frontline associates to accomplish the objectives of the operation to the satisfaction of the customers and client.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages the day-to-day service of the retail dining operation
- Supervises frontline team members
- Directs and trains staff to provide scheduled retail services
- Plans and supervises special functions, maintains cash controls
- Additional duties as assigned
- 2 years of retail dining supervisory or management experience.
- Experience in a hospital or related healthcare environment is a plus.
- Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
- Experience with cash retail operations.
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
