Job Summary
As a Retail Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the General Manager or Director in the overall success of the operation. This includes adhering to the client’s culture and guidelines, the Health Departments regulations, and company’s standards & policies. This position also motivates, trains, develops, and directs all employees to accomplish the objectives of the operation to the satisfaction of the customers and client. The hospital system is a partnership that consists of four hospitals, 23 clinics, a skilled nursing facility, a college of nursing and several children's schools. They have all joined together to serve Milwaukee and Ozaukee counties with a combined history of over 150 years of service to individuals and families in these communities. The hospital exists to make a positive difference in the health and lives of individuals and the community with special concern for those who are vulnerable. They are committed to providing high-quality, accessible, values-driven programs and services with equal attention to the physical, spiritual, and emotional dimensions of health.
We are looking for a high energetic individual who possesses the skills to drive sales. The retail manager must direct staff to provide scheduled retail services in accordance with corporate policies. They will also train staff in customer service, cashier skills as will as safety, interact frequently with customers to determine satisfaction level, and provide service recovery if necessary. Implements and maintains cash handling standards as outlined in the corporate Policies and Procedures Manual to eliminate theft of services or Company funds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages the day-to-day service of the operation.
- Interacts with executive chef daily to assist in production.
- Plans and supervises special functions, maintains cash controls and payroll records, and oversees the hiring of frontline team members.
- Directs and trains staff to provide scheduled retail services.
- Completes all daily, weekly, or monthly reports.
- Implements corporate programs as directed by the Director of Food & Nutrition and/or Regional Director
- Additional duties as assigned.
- 2 years of retail operational management experience preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
- Retail marketing experience is preferred.
- Experience with cash retail operations.
- Culinary experience a plus.
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
- Associates degree is preferred.
