The Systems Director (EVS) is a key leadership position directly responsible for the successful operation of environmental services in 4 Acute Care Hospitals and 1 health club. In this role, you will lead a team of 4 EVS Managers, 1 Director, and 96 hourly associates. You will manage financial performance, throughput, client relationships, and leader development. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees department’s financial data and statistics while monitoring unit expenditures
- Develops and recommends department operating budget and ensure the department operates within budget
- Coordinates housekeeping activities with other departments
- Actively communicates with administration and other hospital departments
- Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and supervises functions and activities of the departments
- Establishes work standards, work flow, implements policies and procedures for departmental operations
- Encourages and mentors staff creativity and innovation
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies
- Remains proactive in the achievement of the facility goals and objectives
- Demonstrates quality leadership in meeting performance plans
- Reads and develops in the Total Quality Management process
- Develops and maintains job descriptions for department staff
- Encourages staff to participate in education programs
- 3 years of housekeeping director experience at a large hospital account
- Must have the ability to analyze and interpret financial and other data with business insight
- Excellent communication skills, public speaking, customer service, and dedication to quality
- Ability to thrive in high pressure environments while consistently achieving set goals
- Ability to use a participative approach to leading staff, coordinate and prioritize tasks, and to develop budgets
- Excellent stress management, administrative, and organizational skills, and follow-through
- High school diploma/GED
- Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
