At Touchstone, the Front Desk crew isn't just the welcoming face of our gym; they're the heartbeat of our community. As the first point of contact for our members and guests, they set the tone for the entire climbing experience. From greeting climbers with a smile to providing essential information and ensuring smooth operations, our front desk crew plays a pivotal role in fostering a supportive and inclusive atmosphere where climbers of all levels can thrive.
Pacific Pipe is looking for enthusiastic and friendly new team members to join our Front Desk Staff. This is a full-time position, working more than 30 hours per week.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring all visitors complete necessary waivers, check in and adhere to gym policies
- Making all visitors feel welcome, answering calls, and responding to emails at the front desk
- Processing memberships and online transactions
- Managing calendar reservations
- Finding creative solutions to customer service challenges, handling customer feedback and resolving any issues in a professional manner
- Selling merchandise and climbing gear in our retail shop
- Ensuring that climbing and gym safety standards are being met, giving guidance in a professional manner when needed
- Maintaining a clean gym, with no cleaning task left undone
- Support other team members and contribute to a positive team environment
- Additional opportunities to work with our communities and classes may be available in the future for interested candidates
Requirements:
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends (no exceptions)
- Passion for climbing and knowledge of climbing terminology and safety practices
- Ability to remain friendly and calm while managing customer needs in a variety of situations
- Highly self-directed and motivated; if you see a task that needs to be done, you do it
- Comfortable and proficient working with computers and point of sales systems
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Customer service, service industry, or office management experience is a plus but not required
- Current CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
Starting Pay is $21.00/hour. This is a full-time position, working more than 30 hours per week. Front Desk Staff individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to; facility location and type, membership volume, experience, and job/position tenure.
