CNA/ HHA Certified Caregiver

About the Caregiver Position

Touchstone caregivers work with individuals and their families who need assistance with personal care, homemaking, respite care and companion care. We would love for you to work with us in providing safe, compassionate in-home care to members of our senior community.

We are looking for strong qualified CNAs to care for our clients in a professional and compassionate manner. Caregivers must speak English and be committed It’s often a demanding job as you will have to be available for most of the day and week.

We are looking for CNAs in TAMPA, LUTZ, CARROLLWOOD, and WESTCHASE area

The ideal candidate will be dependable, reliable and courteous with outstanding communication skills. You should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help clients.

Caregiver Responsibilities

• Remind clients to take their prescribed medications

• Assist clients with ambulation, transfers and mobility around the house or outside using the recommended equipment accordingly (Walker, gait belt, Hoyer lift, etc.)

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene (bathing, dressing, etc.)

• Help clients with physical therapy exercises

• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)

• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop

• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own

• Report any unusual incidents

• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Caregiver Requirements

• Proven experience as a caregiver

• CNA or HHA Certification

• CPR Certification

• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints

• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards

• Respectful and compassionate

• Good time management skills

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong ethics

• Physical endurance (strong)

• High school diploma or equivalent
  
• Speak fluent English
