Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team, specializing in the renovation and maintenance of manufactured homes. This role will involve hands-on work in a variety of areas, including carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and grounds maintenance. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a commitment to quality work, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The position requires flexibility, including participation in an on-call rotation for emergency repairs and service requests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Home Renovation & Repairs: Lead or assist with the renovation of manufactured homes, ensuring repairs and upgrades are completed to meet community standards and tenant satisfaction.
- Maintenance Support: Assist the Maintenance Team in the completion of daily tasks, prioritizing efficiency, safety, and quality.
- Service Requests: Respond to tenant service requests promptly, ensuring that issues are addressed in a professional and timely manner.
- Material & Equipment Management: Maintain and organize materials in a safe and orderly manner; ensure tools, equipment, and the maintenance facility are well-maintained.
- Utility & Grounds Maintenance: Assist in maintaining community utilities and perform groundskeeping tasks, including cleaning vacant lots and maintaining community assets such as buildings and equipment.
- Emergency Response: Be available for on-call rotation as directed by, responding to emergency repair needs in the community.
- Safety & Quality: Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies while performing tasks. Complete all work on time without compromising quality.
- Professional Conduct: Maintain a professional attitude and work ethic at all times, ensuring the work environment is collaborative and productive, and that community tenants are treated respectfully.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance tasks.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus.
- Must possess your own basic carpentry tools.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be reliable and able to meet deadlines consistently.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials and equipment.
- Must be able to handle emergency calls and weekend work as part of the on-call rotation.
- Must hold a current, valid driver's license.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require physical labor in varying weather conditions.
- The role involves working on-site at the manufactured homes community.
- Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
