What are the responsibilities and job description for the TMS Technician position at Touchstone TMS?
This main responsibility for this position is operating a TMS device (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation).
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is an FDA-approved treatment for depression in which repeated magnetic pulses are delivered to the area of the brain responsible for mood.
Experience in the medical field and a Bachelor's degree are both preferred, but not required. The ideal TMS Technician is empathetic, extremely reliable and punctual, compassionate, an excellent communicator, and a team player able to carry out their purpose autonomously while also working well as a part of our tight-knit team. We provide extensive internal training on how TMS works to create a team of knowledgeable staff that can appropriately address patient concerns and involve other staff when necessary. Past experience with TMS is not needed to become a highly effective, proficient TMS Technician.
TMS patients inherently benefit from a caring, thoughtful, and professional team that is able to effectively deliver TMS treatments on a daily basis. These qualities are a must for candidates.
Our clinic is open from 6am-6pm M-F, 8am-2pm Sat.
We are a quickly growing practice in the Lakewood area. Our need for TMS Technicians is constantly growing, but as increased capacity is filled, technicians will also have duties that include typical administrative tasks such as taking phone calls, scheduling/rescheduling appts, scanning/filing, etc.
Proficiency with a computer is required as our health records are maintained electronically. Must be able to learn a standardized process and execute it consistently. The practice of TMS itself is not difficult, but requires strict adherence to training and our defined process to become an effective TMS Technician.
Our mission of effectively treating depression and other psychiatric conditions is near to our hearts and drives our work each day. With the most experienced, hands-on Psychiatrist in the area practicing TMS leading our team, we are able to fulfill that mission. We look forward to expanding our reach by filling this position.
