Touchton Surgery Center is looking for a Full-Time Surgical Technician who is hard working, reliable, experienced and a team player. Our new, state-of-the-art, ambulatory surgery center is conveniently located in the Southside area and is closed on nights and weekends. Our specialties include orthopedics, urology, neuro, plastics and spine.
Surgical technicians assist surgeons and other medical professionals in operating rooms and similar environments. They prepare patients, rooms and equipment for pending surgical procedures. They also assist during those procedures as part of a team of operating room professionals. They are a vital member of our OR team; they are the expert in sterilization technique and safety measures that produce the best outcomes for the patient.
Essential Functions:
- Scrubs major and minor procedures
- Sets up operating room and instruments
- Assists in post-operative cleaning
- Documents all pertinent and meaningful observations and information as needed
- Responsible for patient care through the surgical scrub process
- Participates in computerized health information systems
- Maintains standards required by regulatory entities
- Performs other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-Time
Range: $22.00/hr - $28.00/hr
Qualifications:
- 1 year experience required (Preferably in an ASC setting)
- BLS Certification
- High School Graduate or equivalent
