Our farm cashiers provide amazing customer service by engaging with farm guests through friendly conversation, answering questions, providing directions and accurately processing their purchases. As a Tougas cashier you will efficiently guide our guests through the check-out process and end their visit in a positive, memorable experience.
What will you do as a cashier in the Farm Store?
- Welcome and engage guests in a friendly manner while making eye contact and smiling
- Provide friendly farm information
- Ring up purchases
- Bag purchases
- Provide accurate directions to activities around the farm, what's picking today, upcoming fruit seasons
- Highlight our menu items and take orders
- Help guests find products & items in the store
- Suggest additional or alternative items
- Restock, price and inventory fruit and products
- Ending each guest interaction with the guest feeling thankful they visited our farm and wanting to return again to pick, eat or purchase baked goods.

Company Description
Tougas Family Farm is a 2nd generation fruit farm offering pick-your-own strawberries, cherries, blueberries, blackberries, peaches, nectarines, apples, and pumpkins. Centrally located between Worcester and Boston, the farm is a popular destination for family outings, field trips, and corporate events. The farm is open seasonally June through November, and special holiday hours in December.
Along with the pick-your-own experience, the Farm Store and Kitchen offer a unique shopping experience with seasonal baked goods, Cider donuts, fruit slush, ice cream, light lunch items, gift items and more!
Children of all ages enjoy the themed playground, and visiting the barnyard animals. Tougas Family Farm is not just about the high quality fruit we grow, but about making memories, building traditions, enjoying fresh air, and having family fun.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on enhancing the shopping experience
- Proficient in cash handling and operating a cash register
- Basic math skills for accurate transactions and inventory management
- Experience with stocking and merchandising products
- Effective communication skills to engage with customers and team members
