The Laundry Attendant position is offered a starting wage of $15.00 per hour PLUS TIPS.

Responsibilities:
Working alongside the Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping team, the Laundry Attendant is an integral member of the team working together on day-to-day operations. TOURISTS’ goal in all positions is to exceed expectations of our guests. The Laundry Attendant contributes to that experience by providing service that includes, but is not limited to, maintaining the laundry room, inventory control, and providing support to the housekeeping attendants, supervisor, and manager.
Essential functions include:
Laundry Operations
- Execute laundry program to Company standards
- Assisting in maintaining the internal inventory tracking system for laundry items and supplies
- Update and maintain all laundry logs and checklists
- Monitor laundry room and other guest areas for maintenance needs and communicate with Maintenance Staff on Work Orders
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information and presence on property
- Provide assistance to Maintenance staff as needed
- Assist housekeeping attendants with room cleaning as needed
Maintaining quality standards and improvements
High level communication skills with peers, upper management and guests
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) year laundry or housekeeping experience or related experience. Hotel experience is preferred
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and management
- Basic computer skills (ex: login/out, access work schedules/room status)
- Ability to understand other computer programs (i.e. POS and PMS)
- Ability to apply concepts of math including: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and algebra, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Working Conditions/Environment
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
- The person in this position may have to lift up to 50 pounds on a daily basis. Any lift over 50 lbs is deemed a two-person lift.
- The person having this position may have to sit for one (1) hour, stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day
- The position does require some movement between rooms on property exposing individual to variable climate conditions.
