OVERVIEW:
The Logistics Operations Associate is responsible for the daily intake and receipt of merchandise shipments from vendors. In turn, the associate is then responsible for the accurate distribution of receipts according to the merchandising department's allocation. The position is based in the Long Island City Receiving and Distribution facility.

The position is based in the Long Island City Receiving and Distribution facility.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primary warehouse logistics responsibilities:
- Merchandise Receipt
- Ensure all merchandise is physically received, in comparison to the vendor supplied invoice document.
- Perform a quality control check to ensure the merchandise and corresponding box and warranty are received in excellent condition. Should there be any discrepancy or issue, partner with the Receiving, Distribution and Shipping Manager to communicate and resolve it.
- Systemically receive the merchandise accurately.
- Tag each applicable item and warranty (if applicable).
- Ensure all items and accounted for and inventory controlled.
- Merchandise Distribution
- Systemically transfer all merchandise in accordance with provided allocations.
- Perform a quality control check on all merchandise and materials.
- Properly package all merchandise and materials to mitigate shipping damage.
- Inbound Receipts
- Physical receipt and systemic documentation of all inbound packages from UPS, FedEx, Malca and all other carriers. This includes, but is not limited to, breakdown of receipts at the Long Island City dock and transport to the mailroom.
- Distribution and/or pickup coordination of packages within the appropriate internal Long Island City departments.
- Ensure all packages are accounted for and controlled, without loss.
- Outbound Shipments
- Check-in all shipments, generated by internal Long Island City departments, and incorporate with daily pickup.
- Prepare, label and ship all cartons, in accordance with internal shipping policies and procedures.
- Perform any messenger services as directed by the Shipping Supervisor and Receiving, Distribution and Shipping Manager.
- Other responsibilities
- Actively assist the Warehouse Logistics Manager and Warehouse Logistics Assistant Manager with all of department tasks.
- Operations & Logistics supply portal fulfillment.
- Merchandise returns to vendor and backstock transfer systemic processing and shipment.
- This individual is responsible for the accurate receipt of service parts, along with the secure transfer of ownership to the service department.
- The position requires excellent verbal and email communication with the merchandising department and store management in the handling of special orders, warranty requests and other related needs and functions.
- 2 years warehouse logistics preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment (multitasking and meeting deadlines)
- Ability to lift 25 pound boxes
